The LORD Heals

The LORD Heals

The LORD Who Heals (JEHOVAH – RAPHA) ( 369 words)

“I am the LORD who heals you.” (Exodus 15: 26).

Yahweh + Havah = JEHOVAH = LORD = “Panginoon” = The Eternal God who is constantly revealing Himself to us.

After 400 years of slavery in Egypt, through a miracle, the LORD delivered about 2 million Israelites from bondage by letting them cross the Red Sea on dry land.

From the Red Sea toward the Promised Land, Moses lead the Israelites into the Desert of Shur. After travelling for 3 days in the desert without water, the Israelites were tired and thirsty. They reached Marah but they couldn’t drink its water because it was bitter.

So, the Israelites bitterly complained against Moses. Moses prayed. And the LORD generously told Moses to throw a desert wood into the water. And the water became sweet for all the Israelites to drink and be satisfied.

(And the LORD said to the Israelites), “If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.” (Exodus 15: 26).

Every day, with various circumstances in our lives, we make choices. And eventually, we will reap the consequences of our actions.

Right now, do you need healing for a specific illness or disease in your body? Or perhaps, do you want emotional healing for a broken relationship with your neighbor, friend or loved one?

Did you know that our LORD Jesus Christ has fulfilled for you and me this key Bible prophecy: “And by his wounds we are healed.”? (Isaiah 53: 5, 2 Peter 2: 24). This simply means that, Jesus Christ not only can heal all our physical infirmities ( Matthew 8: 16-17) but also in a deeper sense, the consequences of our disobedience to God – our spiritual sickness or sin. Hence, the LORD Jesus Christ is our Healer.

Would you NOW trust in JEHOVAH – RAPHA, The LORD Who Heals, that by His grace, He can and He will restore your body, soul and spirit into wholeness?

The LORD is My PEACE (JEHOVAH – SHALOM) ( 444 words)

“So Gideon built an altar to the LORD and called it The LORD is Peace.” (Judges 6: 24).

Yahweh + Havah = JEHOVAH = LORD = “Panginoon” = The Eternal God who is constantly revealing Himself to us

The Greek word for peace means unity or wellness; in Hebrew, it’s total well-being.

Chosen by God, Gideon was one of the early judges of Israel who freed his countrymen from the oppressive rule of the Midianites.

When Gideon was making a burnt offering of goat meat and unleavened bread to the LORD, he saw the angel of the LORD. He thought he would die and exclaimed, “Ah, Sovereign LORD, I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!”

But the LORD said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.”

“So Gideon built an altar to the LORD and called it The LORD is Peace.” (Judges 6: 19-24).

Did you know that our LORD Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave, has brought peace between Holy God and sinful but believing men and women? (Romans 5: 1, Ephesians 2: 14).

When the disciples of Jesus were caught up in a raging storm while inside a boat in the Sea of Galilee, they woke up Jesus to save them.

Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. (Mark 4: 37-39).

Here, on a near-death experience, Jesus magnificently displayed His authority over His creation (air and water), to the wonder and awe of His very frightened disciples.

So, faced with any storm of life or troubled situation, would you believe in JEHOVAH-SHALOM to provide you with calmness. unity, reconciliation, serenity, harmony, and wholeness? Jesus Christ is our tranquility and security – the peace within ourselves, the peace in our troubled relationships, the peace among warring groups and the most important, our peace with GOD.

“May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thessalonians 3: 16).

Now, what keeps you from trusting the Lord of Peace at all times, in every way, and in any troubled situation?

Would you NOW allow JEHOVAH – SHALOM, The LORD is Peace, to tear down false walls of fear and prejudice in order to build a castle of true love and peace within you?

Finally, when you want your friends to know more about JEHOVAH-SHALOM, please feel *free to *share this short article to them.

“So Abraham called the place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”” (Genesis 22: 14).

Yahweh + Havah = JEHOVAH = LORD = “Panginoon” = The Eternal God who is constantly revealing Himself to us

Abraham is the first recorded millionaire in the Bible, a friend of GOD and the father of all Believers. When his barren wife, Sarah, was at the ripe age of 90 and he was 100 years old, GOD did the impossible by providing them a biological son, Isaac.

And when Isaac was a teenager, to further test his faith, GOD told Abraham to sacrifice his promised son, Isaac, as a burnt offering in a the region of Moriah (Jerusalem, Israel), a 3 days travel from their residence in Beersheba.

“Father, the fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” (To date, the confused world is still asking this similar question, “Where do I look for my salvation from the fires of Hell?”)

Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” (This single sentence could be the complete summary of the Bible.)

Abraham obeyed because he believed that GOD can resurrect the dead. When he is about to dutifully kill Isaac, the LORD stepped in and provided a ram as a “substitute sacrifice” instead.

How do you think Abraham and Isaac felt during this difficult situation of their lives – before, during and after the sacrifice?

When by faith Abraham obeyed GOD’s command, the LORD provided him courage, power, wisdom, and solution to fulfill His will, isn’t it?

Now, in what areas of your life are you undergoing difficult situation? Will you trust “The LORD Who Provides” to also give you courage, power, wisdom, and solution to tackle your difficult situation today?

And did you know that the LORD has provided the final solution, the Lamb of GOD, so that we could be with Him in Heaven someday, forever and ever? He is our “Sinner’s Substitute” who was sacrificed to die in order to take away and pay in full the penalty of all our sins – past, present and future – so we can surely (*100%) escape the fires of Hell. (John 1: 29, Ephesians 5: 2, Hebrews 9: 26-27).

Would you NOW believe in JEHOVAH – JIREH, The Eternal God who constantly reveals Himself to you and me as the Great Provider?

Do you believe that God can see even in total darkness?

(Hagar) gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me.”, for she said, “I have seen the One who sees me.” (Genesis 16: 13).

God who sees (El Roi) is a combination of two Hebrew words: El meaning “All-powerful God” and Roi meaning “to see”. When these two words are combined as El Roi, it means “The All-powerful God who sees everything in the universe”.

Even in their old age, God promised Abraham and his wife, Sarah, that they will have a child. But after many years of trying, Sarah wouldn’t conceive. So Sarah told Abraham to father a child to her servant, Hagar. And Abraham obliged.

When Hagar became pregnant, Sarah became jealous and mistreated her. Because of Sarah’s abuse, Hagar ran away but she couldn’t escape “El Roi”.

God saw Hagar in the desert and help her in her distress until she gave birth to a son – Ishmael.

Right now, do you feel alone, abandoned, powerless, lonely, and/or in distress?

Please remember that whatever your circumstance is and wherever you are, like Hagar, God sees and cares for you.

If Hagar couldn’t outrun “El Roi’s” presence, neither can you. So, trust Him to help you in your distress.

Remember, you are never out of “El Roi’s” sight even when you’re in the total darkness of your life.

Did you know that God has the power and will to fulfill all of His promises and prophecies?

When Abraham was ninety-nine (99) old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty, walk before me faithfully and be blameless.” (Genesis 17: 1).

God Almighty is a translation of two (2) Hebrew words: El meaning “All-powerful God” and Shaddai which means “breasts”. When these two words are combined, they mean “He is the All-powerful God who satisfies, nourishes and sustains us”.

Abraham had a hard time believing that God would give him a son because he was 99 years old while his wife, Sarah, was 90 years old, well beyond the child bearing age.

But nothing is impossible with God because “El Shaddai” brought life to their old bodies and soon, Sarah became the mother of the promised son, Isaac.

Right now, do you feel discouraged or disappointed because of difficult circumstances and adversities in your life, which are way beyond your control? And you want real solutions, preferably fast, right?

Instead of focusing on yourself, why don’t you seek and trust “El Shaddai”, the ultimate life-changer who can satisfy, nourish and sustain you. Read and hold on to His promises for you as written in His Book – The Bible. Why? Because like Abraham, “El Shaddai” cares and He is faithful and true to fulfill these promises for you.
